Bulldogs Football 2-0!

The Bulldogs improve to 2-0 after a 36-20 win over Ninety-Six High School. Newberry was led on the ground by Amir Abrams who rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries. 2017 Varsity Football Schedule Release

The Bulldogs return 14 starters and many other contributors from a 10-4 team that reached the Upper-State Championship Game in 2016.  They look to build upon that success and make another run at a state championship. Summer Weight Room Announcement for Footabll

The first day of Summer Lifting for JV and Varsity Football players will be Monday, June 6th. Two sessions will be held. Session 1 will be from 6:00 AM – 7:30 AM and Session 2 will be from 7:45 AM-9:15 AM. Calendars will be provided. Go Dogs!

Athletic Banquet

Newberry High school athletic banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17th, at 6 pm in the Willie Scott Gymnasium. A dinner will be served at 6pm and awards will follow. Athletes will eat free and  parents will be able to buy a ticket at the door. We will sell 100 tickets at the door for

Bulldogs unlucky for Shamrocks, win 28-7

The Bulldogs took care of business by defeating the Eau Claire Shamrocks, 28-7, in less than ideal conditions at Mike Ware Field.  Newberry ran for 335 yards on 45 carries, a 7.4 yards per carry average. Change In Schedule for JV Football

The Newberry High JV boys football game on Thursday, September 24th, versus Eau Claire has been canceled. We will play Fairfield Central on September 24th, in Winnsboro at Fairfield Central High School, kick off at 6pm.

SAT Prep Workshop

Carolina College Prep’s SAT prep Workshop will give our student athletes all the tools they need to maximize their SAT and ACT score. Bulldogs hang on against Union County, 34-27

The Bulldogs defeated the Union County Yellow Jackets, 34-27, Friday night in Union, SC.  It was the first regular season game for the Bulldogs and they were able to pick up a big win. Yafari Werts led the way with 142 yards on 8-12 passing and he, also, rushed the ball 14 times for 91

Letter Jacket Fitting

The Neff Company will be at the 1st and 2nd lunches on Tuesday September 8th, to fit any varsity lettermen. Forms will be given out at lunch this week. The money will be due September 15th.
