Boys Soccer wins Region Championship

The boys soccer team clinched the Region 3-AAA championship Thursday night with a win over the Chapman Panthers. The Bulldogs defeated Chapman on penalty kicks after playing 90 scoreless minutes in regulation and overtime.  The win secured their second region championship in the last three years.  They will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs

Boys Basketball set for Region Playoff Game

The varsity boys basketball team will play the Clinton Red Devils in a winner-take-all playoff game for 1st place in Region 3-AAA on Thursday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m. The contest will take place at Woodruff High School.  The two team come into the matchup with identical 7-2 region records with wins on each others

Varsity Girls win 20th in a row!

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Mid-Carilona 73-32 tonight in Prosperity.  The win was their 20th straight region victory.  The back-to-back region titles marks the second time the Lady Bulldogs have accomplished the feat in the last five years. They will host the 4th place finishers in Region 3-AAA next week.

Basketball Quadruple-header Against Mid-Carolina

Due to weather cancellations earlier in the week,  the Bulldogs will host Mid-Carolina in JV and Varsity basketball on Friday, January 19.  The JV girls will begin at 4 pm followed by the JV boys at 5 pm. The varsity girls are scheduled to begin at 6:00 with the varsity boys to follow at 7:30.

Strickland inducted to Hall of Fame

Football coach, Phil Strickland was inducted into the South Carolina Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Friday, December 8, 2017.  Coach Strickland has been a head coach for 31 years, the last eight at Newberry High School.  His 319 career wins put Strickland in a tie for fourth-best in South Carolina history.  Coach Strickland
