Bulldogs Defeated by the Red Devils

Newberry High School Boys varsity basketball team was defeated by the Clinton Red Devils 75-61 Tuesday. The Bulldogs were lead by Terrell Rogers with 26 points and four steals. The Bulldogs advanced to the championship game with a 24-10 victory over the Fairfield Central Griffins.  The win marks a second trip in as many years to the state finals for Newberry. Upper State Champions

The Newberry High Bulldogs advanced to the AA Division I State championship after defeating the Fairfield Central Griffins, 24-10. The Bulldogs will have a rematch vs the Dillion Wildcats this Friday night at Benedict College. Kick off is set for 7:00pm. Tickets for the state championship game will go on sale Monday afternoon at 2pm.

Rematch at Fairfield Central

The Bulldogs will travel to Winnsboro to battle the Griffins of Fairfield Central for the right to the AA Division I State Championship. Newberry is coming off a 51-28 victory over Strom Thurmond and  is looking for revenge. The Bulldogs lost to Fairfield earlier in the season 29-28. Tickets are on sale at NHS until Tuesday afternoon.

Huggins Signs With Tigers

Ryne Huggins signed his official letter of intent to play baseball  with Clemson University. Ryne is a four year letterman at NHS and has had outstanding career with the Bulldogs. Ryne was a part of the American Legion National Championship team this past  summer. We wish Ryne the best at Clemson University.
