Emerald HS Football Game Security Information

Greenwood School District 50 (Emerald) have implemented new enhanced security measures for the 2018-2019 sports season.  If you bring a bag to an athletic contest, it must be clear or transparent.  No other bags will be allowed in any stadium or arena at these schools.  This policy will be enforced at the all athletic events

Varsity Football vs. Fairfield Central moved up to Wednesday, 9/12/18

Due to the impending concern of Hurricane Florence, our football game against Fairfield Central High School has been moved to Wednesday, Septemeber 12. The contest will take place at Mike Ware Field on the campus of Newberry High School and it will start at 7:00 pm.

Enhanced Security Measures at Chapin

Chapin security will be using handheld metal detectors to scan every person entering Cecil Woolbright Stadium for Friday night’s game. Patrons can expect longer lines and increased waiting time. The game is still scheduled for 7:30 so arrive early and cheer loud. Go Dogs!

Letterman Jacket Fitting- September 5th

Newberry High School will have their letterman jacket fitting on September 5 in the cafeteria during both lunches.  All individuals must be  two year lettermen in order to purchase a jacket.  Please see Coach Cary for details or if you have any questions. Go Dogs!

JV Football loses to Abbeville

The JV football team lost a hard fought game against Abbeville High School 29-20 last night.  Zack Chalmers returned the opening kickoff to give the Bulldogs an early lead.  KJ Robinson scored on a long run and the final Bulldog score came from a Keaton Atkins pass to Malik Goree.  The JV Bulldogs travel to
